Introduction

How to remove the headlights on your VE Commodore! Many owners choose to upgrade to SSV Projector headlights, or aftermarket headlights – This guide will help you!

Tools/Parts Required

  • Socket Set

Step 1

First you will need to remove the front bumper. Click here to view our bumper bar removal guide.

Step 2

Remove the two bolts holding the black plastic shield in place.

Step 3

Remove the two bolts securing the bottom headlight brackets.

Step 4

Remove the two bolts securing the upper headlight brackets. Ensure you are holding the headlight as you remove the final bolt, it will now be loose.

Step 5

Gently pull out the headlight. We now need to unclip the wiring harness.

Step 6

To unplug the harness, pull the red tab upwards and gently pull out the plug.

Step 7

The headlight is now removed from the vehicle. Upon re-installation ensure the headlight is correctly lining up with the fender panel as there is some adjustment capability in the bolts.
