Product Description

034Motorsport Motor Mount Pair – Density Line – VW Mk7 Golf / GTI / R, Audi 8V A3 / S3 & 8S TT / TTS

Density Line Drivetrain Mounts are engineered with performance in mind, and provide an OEM+ driving experience without sacrificing comfort. Density Line Mounts are void-free and fluid-free, and manufactured from high-durometer rubber to significantly improve performance and longevity over factory mounts. By eliminating the slop associated with the stock mounts, the Density Line Mounts reduce wheel hop, improve response, and offer a more direct, connected driving experience.

The Density Line Engine Mount Pair is manufactured from 50 durometer and 60 durometer rubber, which is approximately 25% stiffer than stock. Since the mounts are also void-free and solid-filled, the resulting is a substantial reduction in drivetrain movement versus the factory mounts.

The result is greatly reduced drivetrain slop, crisper shifting, and minimal wheel hop, without any significant increase in noise, vibration, or harshness (NVH) inside of the cabin. These mounts are a completely re-engineered performance solution, not just inserts for use with the factory mounts.

High-Durometer Rubber vs. Polyurethane

Density Line Mounts are manufactured from high-durometer rubber instead of polyurethane for a number of reasons. While vulcanized rubber mounts are more expensive to prototype due to increased complexity of manufacturing and high initial tooling costs, rubber is inherently better than polyurethane as a damping medium for mounts and bushings.

Rubber is able to deal with stress under both tension and compression, while polyurethane mounts rely on the damping medium to be effective only under compression. Rubber is also excellent in shear, where polyurethane is ineffective, making it ideal for control arm bushings that apply a shear force to the bushing during articulation.

Rubber does not pack and wear as quickly polyurethane does, which ultimately results in a longer-lasting part with consistent performance and comfort.

I installed these recently on a 2015 Skoda Octavia VRS to help reduce wheelhop. I was abit worried they would induce abit more NVH but they have actually done the opposite. They have smoothed the ride considerably. There is no longer any NVH slowly creeping forward or reversing while parking (induced by my APR insert and pendulum arm). The gear shifts are even crisper with no slackness/movement in any gear. Straight line acceleration and traction have also improved (haven’t encountered any wheel hop yet) And lastly I think the cabin noise has also reduced (transfer less vibration into the cabin is my guess)

Overall imo these are one of the best bang for buck upgrades you can do for your Skoda VRS /Golf GTI MK7. Truly is unbelievable what a difference they have made.

Installed on a MY15 Skoda Octavia RS TSI that has done over 100,000km and I have to say these definitely made shifts on the DSG less sloppy and a little more direct. The original and worn transmission and engine mounts could be moved around with a few fingers, so these are a definite improvement. Wheel hop is reduced slightly on it’s own, but it is one step closer to reducing wheel hop if you are thinking about aftermarket pendulum mount and dogbone mount insert.

These added very little if any NVH to my car and it’s the best choice for anyone after stiffer mounts whilst retaining OEM feel.

Installed these with the 034 full doggone mount setup. Gear shifts are sharper. No notice on NVH but power is now as you’d expect without the slop of the factory mounts. I installed the 034 dogbone mounts 1st, these 3 items did increase NVH but in a good way. After a couple of months I installed this engine and transmission mount. If anything these mounts have smoothed things out. It is amazing how sloppy the factory mounts are. My Mk7.5 has only travelled 9500kms and they were very sloppy. Sharpens up the car in a very good way. Definitely recommend for anyone looking.

After going stage two (ecu+dsg tune) on my dsg mk7 R I was getting some harsh shifts when going WOT from 1st/2nd.
I installed these myself on jack stands, install is pretty easy.
When I got the original mounts out, the amount of play they had was crazy!
These new ones have a small amount of play but I’d say just enough to stop NVH.
The difference they made was huge, no more harsh banging gears, launching was hugely improved and the car feel more snappy when I want to put my foot down.
For the price this is a must!
