Introduction

This tutorial will show you how to remove the dash trim that sits in front of the driver’s knees in a GC8 / GF8 Subaru Impreza. Useful for accessing all the wiring looms that run through this area.

Phillips Screwdriver

Step 1

Gently unscrew and remove the clip located on the side of the dash trim.

Step 2

Remove the screw located in front of the hood release lever.

Step 3

Remove the third screw, located on the left side of the dash trim.

Step 4

Gently pull on the dash trim to release the clips that attach it to the upper dash trim. There’s 1-2 clips on either side of the steering column.

Step 5

Lastly disconnect any switches that may be present on the trim. The trim can now be removed from the vehicle.
