Introduction
This tutorial will show you how to change the engine air filter in your 1.2 / 1.4 TSI MK7 Golf. This is also applicable to similar vehicles in the Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda family.

Step 1
To access the air filter, we need to remove the air intake filter housing.
Squeeze the clamp to release and slide the pipe off the enclosure.
Step 2
Release the second hose clamp on the right, followed by the rubber hose as pictured.
Step 3
With the intake housing removed you will locate two screws underneath. Remove these and pop the lid off, there are clips around the edges.
Step 4
You can now change the air filter as pictured.
